
First Caboolture School
The first school in Caboolture commenced on 4th August1873 with an enrolment of thirteen (13) children and on 11th August an additional eight (8) children were admitted. Enrolments increased gradually and by December 1873, thirty-four (34) children were enrolled.

Mr William Berry was the first teacher however he did not stay long as he was transferred to Pine Mountain on 31st December 1873. No teacher was appointed to the school until 1st May 1874 when Mr George Comport was appointed after a petition containing 39 names had been received by the Board of Education. Mr Comport was transferred from Kilcoy.
